France- Cannes

Andy & Graham have travelled over the Alps enjoying the breath taking  views along the Mediterranean coast into Cannes.
The weather today is warm and dry which will allow Andy & Graham's equipment to dry.
Both Andy & Gray should make their flights in good time.

All 'tyred' out?

Despite suffering not one but two punctures yesterday- Andy and Graham have enjoyed a day in the sunshine repairing all damage and making tactical decisions to  ensure they get too Nice on time for Graham's flight.
It is touch and go as to weather they will do it, so keep checking in to find out how things go!

France- Chalon Sur Soane.

Andy and Graham have had a great week despite wet weather and strong head winds. They will be going into Chalon sur Soane to see if anyone can suggest some routes to speed up the Journey. Yesterday was the first day that they caught sight of the Alps. I am sure they have taken full advantage of the fine wines and cheeses along the way although , Andy is still nursing his cold but is in good spirits.

The Pictures are of Pont saint Laurent, Chalon sur Soane Catherdral and St Vincents Cathedral, which are all in the the vicinity of Chalon Sur Soane.

On Friday Andy will bid farewell to his travelling partner Graham and will catch a flight from Nice to Cairo. Graham will be returning home to England. We hope to hear from Graham on his return.

Andy has left the Country!

Andy spent the wet weekend in Linconshire. Along the way he met Mr Harry Williams the oldest lifeguard in Britain! He also mentioned he was also lucky enough to  chat  too some crew from the R.N.L.I and a bomber command meteorologist.

Although nursing a cold and feeling a little under the weather, Andy  caught up with a group of friends he met while doing a walk in Napal some time ago. The Finally spending some time with close friends and Partner Debbie before departing on the Euro train this morning to France.

Did you know , That although Andy is doing this trip to support his chosen charities, He has in fact funded this trip on his own!

So far it has cost him the following:

Andy's contribution to the cost of his Bike : £400
Flight from Nice- Cairo                               £325
Euro Tunnel                                              £ 35
Freight for Bike                                         £ 22
Worldwide Sim Card                                  £ 30
Medical/ Vaccines                                    £ 60
Travel Insurance                                       £118
Flight Home                                             £329
Visa's                                                      £300
Hotel (while visa's are obtained)                 £ 77

So that is £1696.00 that Andy has spent already! Now you know why he rented his home and chose to live in his Camper Van!

All Contributions you make will benefit Andy's charities!

On a lighter note. Carl is looking after Andy's motorbike while he is away. Carl has supplied us with some photo's to show how well Andy's bike is being cared for. It attended a charity bike wash over the weekend and got a good Spit and Polish!  And once again all for a good cause.

If you have any Photo's or Comments. Please Let us know!

Did you say Spionkop?

Andy bid farewell to his Sister and Von this morning after spending a great evening with them. Not to mention gaining a lovely warm blanket which Andy's young nephew insisted he needed for his long journey ahead. Through all the wind and heavy down pours Andy peddled on until, he got to Spionkop Village just outside of Warsop in Nottinghamshire.
Intrigued to find out how the place got it's name , Andy set out to see if anyone could give him a little history on the small village. He did say that he met a gentleman that promised to find him some History about it. We look forward to hearing from him.
Now nearing Linconshire Andy has pitched his tent for the night and is catching up on his much needed rest.
The photo's above were sent  via Andrew's sister & friend Eyvonne.  A picture truly can speak a thousand words! it looks like a wonderful time was had by all.
